Celebrating Simple Joys

In these days of chaos and turmoil around the world, it's difficult to not get caught up and become emotional or angry. On days when I'm especially anxious or depressed, I focus on the things in my life that I'm grateful for, no matter how small. Today I ask that you join me in celebrating small, simple joys. Here is a small list of things I've been grateful for lately, I'd love to hear yours. 

  1. Early morning cuddles with my 2 year old.
  2. Beef stew over rice or a warm bowl of ramen.
  3. Late nights of connecting and laughing with my husband. 
  4. Good night kisses from my 4 year old.
  5. Sipping coffee while it's still warm. 
  6. Watching my 4 year old write and rewrite the letter "B", because its his favorite. 
  7. The smell of upcoming spring on a February day. 
  8. Fragrant tea and a book, on the couch, while everyone naps.
