In these days of chaos and turmoil around the world, it's difficult to not get caught up and become emotional or angry. On days when I'm especially anxious or depressed, I focus on the things in my life that I'm grateful for, no matter how small. Today I ask that you join me in celebrating small, simple joys. Here is a small list of things I've been grateful for lately, I'd love to hear yours.
- Early morning cuddles with my 2 year old.
- Beef stew over rice or a warm bowl of ramen.
- Late nights of connecting and laughing with my husband.
- Good night kisses from my 4 year old.
- Sipping coffee while it's still warm.
- Watching my 4 year old write and rewrite the letter "B", because its his favorite.
- The smell of upcoming spring on a February day.
- Fragrant tea and a book, on the couch, while everyone naps.
